Christine Pickering serves as communication executive and principal consultant for HC² Strategies, Inc. With more than 30 years of progressive, successful experience in corporate communications leadership and journalism, Christine is skilled at developing and executing communication strategies for highly complex organizations and projects, including strategic plan implementations, hospital acquisitions and construction projects, large-scale moves, rebranding, service closures, ballot initiatives, crises, attorney general hearings and community needs assessments, among others. She is also experienced at creating excellent processes, developing and tracking key performance indicators, building highly engaged teams across multiple locations and increasing social media engagement.

Before joining HC² Strategies, Christine served as the communication vice president for a $5 billion multi-state health system, planning and leading strategic communications at the system and market levels. She also previously worked as a reporter and editor for a regional daily newspaper in Central California, writing and editing local, features and business news.
